Understanding the root self

I recently came upon an affirmation, and a truism, that finding one's roots can lead to greater knowledge of the self. It had always been lingering in the background, unsure of how to poke its head into the world without being squashed (as many flowers are). So I have decided to go forth and investigate, uncertain of where the path will lead.

I was wandering Loch Lomond at the weekend, and became positively overpowered and overwhelmed by the vast beauty of nature, and how small man is in comparison. Again, this is something we all know by default simply by looking, but to feel it deep within and to look outside of oneself and see a giant and wonderful world of hills, crows, lakes, and mountains affirmed what can easily be described in words.

Walking and sifting through the patterns of consciousness can help to relieve them, so that fresh patterns of thought can take their place. This is what I am experimenting with, and this is the purpose of this blog. To investigate roots of thought, experiences, conversations, and even the impact of music on the conscious processing of the mind.

I am also open to discussion and hearing reader's views, the journey to the roots is not a solo journey!
